Diptyque’s 'Cabinet of Curiosities' Opens For Holiday Season

Diptyque Unveils three new scents and new candle accessories in latest holiday Cabinet of Curiosities release.

It’s that time of year, when Diptyque releases their Cabinet of Curiosities and Williamsburg hipsters come flocking to the store windows to get a peak at the latest and greatest. I mean, their advent calendar is only $425. For the price of a monthly car payment, you too can smell like the money bags emoji sign.

The candles

In their holiday line are three new candle scents: Pine Tree, Snowflake, and Holiday Pastry. If you’re a fan of traditional pine scented candles, the Pine Tree candle is fine, but I think D.S. & DURGA offers a better alternative with their Portable Christmas Tree candle that is a bit more robust, and isn’t made with paraffin wax (eye roll at Diptyque). The Snowflake candle however was a nice twist on their classic Musc candle with sweet Mimosa and floral Iris complimenting the overall scent giving it a sweet yet musky scent makeup. Finally, Holiday Pastry smelled heavenly but if you’re not a fan of sweet-smelling candles stay away.

Curiosity is a virtue, not a vice. It helps us see the splendor in nature and in different cultures, here and elsewhere. To celebrate its sixtieth anniversary, diptyque has designed a collection of scented and decorative items. Items that resemble treasures in diptyque’s cabinet of curiosities.
